There are two very distict pruning, or trimming objectives. One is done for the tree. This is for the health of the tree. Example: removing dead, dying and diseased limbs and branches from a canopy. The other is done to the tree. This is done to prevent damage to surrounding structures, clearance to prevent injury to people, and for the asthetics the pruning technique can create. Example: Raisning the canopy above a sidewalk, or removing limbs rubbing on a roof, and last shaping to create a manacured look.

Trees can also be seperated into two catagories: LARGE SHADE TREES & SMALL TREES

-The majority of trees will need some level of pruning in their life time. Young tree training will help trees grow with proper form and structure. Helping to prevent LARGE problems in the future, and potential premature removal, or failure.
